With an aptitude for copywriting and an adoration for writing books, Kristen Fischer has combined her expertise and passions into a thriving career. At 29, she is an award-winning copywriter and author who actually enjoys going to work each day—especially with no commute.

Kristen has used her copywriting and editing skills to create promotional content for Trane, Johnson and Johnson and MediaPost, to name a few. She has contributed to College Bound magazine, StartUp Nation, Men's Health magazine, and Philadelphia magazine. Kristen writes regular columns appearing in Skope magazine and Freelance Switch. In addition, she creates high-end resumes for GetInterviews.com. Kristen has also promoted several bestselling authors via Arbor Books. Most recently, she joined the team at Freelance Radio as a panelist on the biweekly, award-winning podcast.
 
In 2007, she published Creatively Self-Employed: How Writers and Artists Deal with Career Ups and Downs. The book has been featured on Entrepreneur Magazine Radio and Women's Radio, and has been spotlighted in Create Magazine, 2D Magazine, the New Jersey Star-Ledger, and the Asbury Park Press. Aside from copywriting and editing for agencies and business, her topic specialties range from the music industry and the environment to self-help and 20-something issues.  She is an apt writer of human-interest features, and has a fond appreciation for the genre of creative nonfiction. Notably, she has handled press and public relations for artist Sabrina Ward Harrison. Kristen was featured in Alexandra Robbins' book, Conquering Your Quarterlife Crisis: Advice From Twentysomethings Who Have Been There and Survived. Her website was selected a finalist in the 2005 Writer's Digest Website Awards. In addition, She is a member of the Jersey Shore Public Relations and Advertising Association.

In her spare time, Kristen enjoys going to the beach, traveling throughout New England, spending time with her family and friends, reading, painting, and frequenting Starbucks to fuel her tea obsession. She employs a full-time office assistanther cat, Bobbie. She is currently working on her second book, which will be published by SuperCollege, LLC, in 2008.
